Setting up Match Settings

This article will help you understand how to set up match settings for leads and contacts.

In Powerrouter leads and contacts are matched with other objects. Powerrouter supports defined match rules for leads and contacts. You can also set your own custom match rules.

Steps to set up match settings for lead:

• Click on Setting in the left navigation bar.
  
  
• Open Match section under General settings. 
• For activating any predefined rule click on the rule under Internal Match Type For Lead in Internal Match Type column and click on the right arrow. This will move the rule to the Selected section.
  For instance, you want to match lead with other objects based on EXACT MATCH ON COMPANY and EXACT MATCH ON DOMAIN. Move the match rules to the selected section. 
• A lead can match with other objects based on more than one rule. You can also reorder the matching rule by clicking on the selected rule and reorder by clicking on the up/down arrow.
  For instance, if you want to give priority to the EXACT MATCH ON DOMAIN, select the rule in the selected section and click on the up arrow.  
• Click on Save.

For matching of contacts to other objects set the match rules in Internal Match Type For Contacts.
