License Settings

This article will help you understand how to configure License Settings in PowerRouter. 


In the License Settings section, you can:

  • Check the number of licenses and permission sets for users in PowerRouter.
  • Assign Permission Sets to users
  • Remove Permission Sets from users
  • Assign licenses to users
  • Revoke licenses from users


Accessing License Settings


To access the license page in PowerRouter:

  1. Go to the left side of the PowerRouter dashboard and click on "Settings."
  2. In the Settings menu, select "License Settings.”


On the License Page, you'll find the following information at the top:

  • Total Licenses: The total number of licenses for your Salesforce organization.
  • Used Licenses: The licenses currently in use or assigned to users.
  • Unused Licenses: The remaining available licenses.
  • PowerRouter Admins: The number of users with Admin permission.
  • PowerRouter Managers: The number of users with Manager permission.
  • PowerRouter Users: The number of users with User permission.


As you scroll down the page, you'll see details for each user:

  • Name: User's name and profile.
  • PowerRouter License: Shows if the user has a PowerRouter license.
  • Assigned Date: Date when the license was given to the user.
  • Unlicensed Date: Date when the license was removed (if applicable).
  • Permission Sets: Lists the user's assigned permission sets.

How to Assign Licenses in PowerRouter?


Above the Users section, you'll find various filters and functions, to assign or remove licenses:


To assign licenses to users, follow these steps:

  1. Click on "Assign Licenses."
  2. A "Assign License" dialog box will appear.
  3. In the dialog box, you can search for a specific user by name. Or choose users from a specific profile or role, like "Identity User" or "Salesforce Administrator," etc.
  4. Click "Select All Users" to choose everyone who meets the criteria.
  5. Or select individual users from the dialog box.
  6. Click "Save" to assign the license.
  7. Verify the user by checking "Assign PowerRouter License" and "Assigned Date."


How to Revoke Licenses in PowerRouter?


The steps are much like assigning licenses:

  1. Click "Revoke Licenses."
  2. A "Revoke License" dialog box will show up.
  3. In the dialog box, you can search for a user by name.
  4. Choose users from specific profiles or roles, as mentioned earlier.
  5. Select everyone meeting the criteria with "Select All Users."
  6. Or individually pick users from the dialog box.
  7. Click "Save" to take away the license.
  8. Verify the user by checking "Assign PowerRouter License" and "Unassigned Date."


How to Assign Permission Sets in PowerRouter?


Assigning permissions depends on the user's current status:

  • If the user has no PowerRouter permissions, you can assign any permission set - Admins, Manager, or User.
  • If the user already has a PowerRouter User permission set, you can only assign the Admin permission set.
  • If the user is a PowerRouter Manager, you can also only assign the Admin permission set.


Assigning permission sets is straightforward:

  1. Click "Assign Permission Set."
  2. A dialog box called "Assign Permission Set" will show up. In this box, you can search for a user by name or choose users based on their profile or role.
  3. Select the desired permission set from the dropdown.
  4. Click "Select All Users" to choose everyone who meets the criteria.
  5. Or select individual users from the dialog box.
  6. Click "Save" to assign the permission set.
  7. Verify in the table under "Permission Sets."


How to Revoke Permission Sets in PowerRouter?


To remove permission sets from users, follow these steps:

  1. Click "Revoke Permission Set."
  2. A dialog box called "Revoke Permission Set" will appear. In this box, you can:
  3. Search for a user by name.
  4. Choose users based on their profile or role.
  5. Select the permission set to remove from the dropdown.
  6. Click "Select All Users" to choose everyone who meets the criteria.
  7. Or select individual users from the dialog box.
  8. Click "Save" to revoke the permission set.
  9. Verify in the "Permission Sets" table.
