Account - Duplicate Component

This article helps you set up ‘Duplicate’ Components to eliminate duplicate accounts in PowerRouter. 


The ‘Duplicate’ Component in PowerRouter helps you identify duplicate accounts, merge, and eliminate them to avoid creation of duplicates in your Salesforce CRM.


 

Follow these steps to eliminate duplicate accounts in real-time 


  1. Start by selecting the “Router” icon on the left side of the PowerRouter menu bar.
  2. In the Router section, create a new workflow. Choose "Account" as the object type and give it a name. For example, "Demo Person Account."
  3. Click on the newly created workflow to start configuring it.

  4. Drag and drop the trigger component “New Account” on the workflow canvas.

  5. Now, connect the "Is Duplicate Person Account" to the trigger "New Account" component.
  6. To configure the Duplicate Component, click on the ‘Edit’ icon of the component and add a description.

  7. Click on “Duplicate Settings” to manage global preferences of how duplicate records will be handled.
  8. After configuring the Duplicate Component, click "Save" to apply the changes. Once saved, you'll see two paths: "Yes" and "No."
  9. Add an "Assign User" component to both the paths and edit the assignment criteria of the component.
  10. Now, ‘Save’ and ‘Publish’ the workflow.

    Now, you can identify and merge all duplicate accounts entering your Salesforce instance before assigning them to your sales people.
