Sending Slack Notification

This article will help you understand how to send slack notification.

Get notifications on slack as Direct-Message to users or in channels when a record is assigned or a record satisfies any segment of the workflow by PowerRouter-Slack Integration.

Slack Component :

• To view authorized slack channels in the slack component, reload the page and open workflow canvas.

• You can choose whom to send the slack message. We have three options:

  • Select an Owner field: This will directly send a notification to the selected owner field of the record if that owner is a member of the slack organization.

  • Select User: This will send all assignment messages to a particular user in slack.

  • Select Channel: This will send all assignment messages to a particular authorized slack channel.
    

• Each Slack Component has a unique template that serves as the foundation for new Slack messages to be built. You can add desired fields by clicking on Add fields.
  For adding fields we have two text boxes.

  • Label: Here you need to enter the label of the field which you want to add.

  • Field: Here you need to enter the field’s api name in the following format {$api_name$}.
    

Routing Components:

• You can choose Select ‘Notify users by Slack On Record Assignment' or 'Send Slack Message’ under Routing Components to deliver a message to assigned users.
  

• You can change the template of these messages from the Template page under Slack Notification in Integrations Settings.
